Music Salon

The countess Mathilde Hallenborg (1834 - 1933) was unprecedently musical. She was a master of many instruments and used to assemble her friends to enjoy her playing in this room.
A contemporary relative, Gustaf Peyron, described her musicality like this: "The countess musicality was exceptional and famous, and they who have not heard a waltz played by her, do not know how a waltz should sound."
The grand piano and harp shown here have belonged to Mathilde Hallenborg.
