The Macklean Memory
PHOTO: HÅKAN CERNE
This room is a Macklean-memory.
The court-dress (used when he was in Stockholm visiting the king) and the objects here have all belonged to him. The library contains a lot of books, most of them literature about agriculture, science and school pedagogy.
Macklean was also interested in political literature. Some of the books are about the ideas of the French revolution. Being a nobility man he was unusually left-winged.
